PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

2011 to Present

Freelance Artist

Worked closely with university leadership and faculty as well as designers and individual clients to find creative solutions for installation art, designed for public settings. Managed projects that utilized metal fabrication, structural engineering, stone fabrication, and installation services.
Key Accomplishments:

  • Created a dynamic seated bronze figure, of an ambiguous Christian Brother that invites interaction and contact from students, staff, and visitors on a university campus.

  • Created a life- sized bronze portrait bust that honors the life and service of a Lasallian Christian Brother.




Trompe Decorative Finishes
2005 to 2011

Contract Artist

Executed murals for commercial and residential clients. Designed solutions for building and executed three dimensional set pieces for television. Executed high-end decorative finish applications on commercial and residential projects.

Key Accomplishments:

  • Painted murals in acrylic, latex, oil, and tempera paint mediums, on substrates ranging from wallboard to cured plaster.

  • Engineered and executed free standing, radius wall backdrops out of glued polystyrene sheets for use as television backdrops.

  • Painted two 160% life sized angles above the alter, and portraits of the four evangelists, in a historic Emmanuel Masqueray church.



Matcom Property Management
1998 - 2005

Carpenter

Worked as a carpenter and performed a wide range of tasks with a variety of materials for the general contractor on commercial construction projects. Tasks would include framing in metal and wood, fabrication and installation of finish trim. Experience in a wide range of tasks associated with construction and old building rehab.

Key Accomplishments:

  • Milled and shaped dimensional lumber to trim out modern office spaces within a early 1900’s, pre- union meeting hall.

  • Became familiar and proficient using a wide range of equipment from hydraulic rock splitters and jack hammers, to skid loader operation, to all common tools used in the carpentry and construction trade.
